Profile

Abhinash Ghising was born to Laxman Ghising and Pasang Ghising in Sindhupalchowk on March 30, 1981. He is the eldest son in this family. He has three younger sisters and a younger brother. He spent his early days in Sindhupalchowk itself and completed School Leaving Certificate from Kakling Harisiddhi Higher Secondary School. For further studies he came to Kathmandu and joined RR College. Unfortunately, studies took a back seat and other things become his priorities. The memories of this school days are still fresh in his mind. He shares, "I still remember the days when I used to bunk my classes and instead go to play guccha, cards and go for swimming with my friends. I was never caught red handed while getting involved in all those activities except once. While I was on my way to see a film after running away from school, one of my teachers caught me and gave me a good thrashing. I was brought back to school and I was punished"

ENTRY INTO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

While in school , Ghising was fascinated with thanka painting and took it up for sometime. When he was engrossed in it, one of his friends used to play the guitar for him. Initially, he used to get quite bored listening to the tune of guitar. With time, he started liking it and wanted to learn to play it and it was Bishal Gurung who tought him to play the instrument. In 1998, he formed a band called 'Young Band' and they recorded a song "Bichodko Samayama". After which in 1999 he decided to go solo. During that time he trained himself to classical music under Surendra Mukhiya and also learned the art with Shri Ram Acharya. At present, he informs that he is educating himself with western classical music under his friends Ram Chandra Kafle and RN.

After deciding to go solo, Ghising released his debut album 'Chayangba' which comprised of predominantly pop and slow rock numbers. While he was busy preparing songs for his second album 'Generation', Suraj Shrestha gave him a song "Cops Dai". "I sang this song in a hip-hop feel. it was only after this, that I developed an interest in this genre. The main reason for me to stick to hip-hop is because through it I can share my inner feelings and raise my voice regarding social issues in a satirical way more comfortably." His third album 'Zero Point' consisted of R &B and hip-hop flavored songs. A track "Lhasama Sun...Ra Sunko Bala..." from the album is still quite popular and has been really appreciated by the fans.

Ghising has also been nominated for various music awards, which come in abundance in recent times. He has also been honored with 'Pokhara DukDhuki' award and states that at present he is busy preparing songs for his next album. "The songs will again be of R&B and hip-hop patterns."

ME, MYSELF!

I was born in a very simple family and I prefer living my life in a very simple way. I believe in karma and I believe that if one works wholeheartedly and gives it their best, things will definately work out for them! I am a very confident person. I just cannot do without my friends and well-wishers. "I cannot live alone and even if I am alone sometimes, I occupy myself either playing the guitar or listening to music."

LOVE, MARRIAGE AND SEX

Love is all about intimacy. It is about an exchange of feelings. When I fell in love for the first time, I admit we were not mature enough. We broke-up and still I feel that I have left something back. Marriage is all about getting your life partner who is by your side both during your good and bad times. Feelings and opinion is expressed openly between the two parties. Your wife can also be your best friend! Marriage plays a vital role in my life. I feel sex is a very natural thing. "If two hearts meet and there is an understanding it is no big deal. As for my first experience, I was pretty apprehensive in the beginning but it turned out to be good!"
